Dodge City is proud to have one of the finest public school systems in the state of Kansas.

During the past ten years, Dodge City has built new or renovated school facilities across the district’s area. This provides an actively improving teaching environment for some of the best teachers in the nation.

Dodge City elementary schools (grades K-4) include Beeson, Central, Linn, Miller, Northwest, Sunnyside, and Wilroads Garden.

Intermediate schools (grades 5-6) include Comanche Intermediate Center and Soule Sixth Grade Center.

Secondary schools are Dodge City Middle School (7-8) and Dodge City High School (grades 9-12).

Other public attendance centers include Early Childhood Education Center and Dodge City Alternative Education.

Dodge City Community College prepares over 2,400 students for further training in every field from accounting to pre-veterinary medicine.

They also offer hands-on training for everything from communications technology to wastewater management.

Bachelor degree completion programs from Ft. Hays State University and Kansas State University are available through the EduKan Distance learning program. Master degree completion is offered by arrangement. Adult continuing-education programs are also available.

Located on the former St. Mary of the Plains college campus, Dodge City offers other degree-completion and continuing-education opportunities.

Newman University (based in Wichita, Kan.) offers Bachelor degree completion programs in education, business and other specialties. Master degree programs are available by arrangement. Adult continuing-education programs are also available.
